Supervisor – Environment Compliance
 
About the Role
An excellent opportunity exists for a Supervisor – Environment Compliance to join a Perth-based team on a fixed-term contract. In this role, you will provide support and oversight of environmental compliance across operational sites, ensuring environmental standards, approvals, and obligations are effectively managed and upheld.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support environmental compliance across operational sites and act as a key compliance contact.
  • Assist in the execution and upkeep of the Environmental Management System, including plans, procedures, registers, and monitoring programs.
  • Prepare and submit environmental reports, permits, and approval applications in a timely manner.
  • Provide technical support to environmental advisors, including report reviews and management planning.
  • Support incident investigations and reviews in accordance with site standards.
  • Coordinate and oversee environmental audits, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Deliver environmental training and awareness programs to enhance staff understanding of obligations and best practice.
  • Ensure integration of environmental considerations into planning and operational decision-making.
Skills & Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in an Environmental Compliance Advisor (or similar) role within the mining sector.
  • Knowledge of ISO14001 systems and environmental management tools including monitoring, inspections, and auditing.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation including the EP Act, EPBC Act, and Mining Act.
  • Degree in Environmental Science (or equivalent).
  • Current Australian C Class driver’s licence (manual) and first aid certification.
  • Strong MS Office skills, with experience in GIS and/or database applications.
