Take ownership of underground operations and drive results. As a statutory leader and Alternate Underground Manager, you will align people, plans and resources to achieve ambitious production targets while championing a safety-first culture.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and embed a high-performance, safety-first culture.
- Provide statutory oversight and ensure full compliance with WA mining regulations and the Safety Management System.
- Drive underground planning and execution to achieve quarterly and annual production targets.
- Optimise operational performance across drill & blast, scheduling, ventilation, infrastructure and development.
- Lead, mentor and build capability across operational and technical teams.
- Oversee contractor performance to ensure safe, on-time delivery.
- Strengthen risk management, incident investigation and corrective action processes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support site objectives, infrastructure and project delivery.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that lift productivity and cost performance.
- WA First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate(essential).
- Proven underground leadership experience in planning and operational delivery.
- Strong technical capability across varying orebody widths and orientations.
- Advanced proficiency in Deswik planning and scheduling software.
- Expertise in drill & blast, ventilation, underground infrastructure and project execution (pastefill highly regarded).
- Confident communicator who builds alignment across geology, geotechnical, engineering, maintenance, processing and operational teams.
