The Role
You will be responsible for supporting the technical delivery of minor signalling projects and working closely with project managers and site teams. Based on-site, you will coordinate with contractors and key stakeholders to ensure all signalling works are executed to high technical and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site engineering support for signalling infrastructure upgrades and renewals.
- Coordinate with contractors, OEMs, and stakeholders to ensure works are delivered to technical specifications.
- Conduct quality inspections and verification activities, including preparation of Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and inspection records.
- Review and interpret signalling designs, ensuring constructability and compliance with relevant industry standards.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years’ experience in rail signalling project delivery, ideally within heavy haul networks.
- Strong site-based experience with installation, testing, and commissioning of rail signalling systems.
- Good understanding of Australian rail signalling standards.
- Demonstrated experience preparing or reviewing ITPs, test records, and handover documentation.
