About the Role:
Support closure and rehabilitation activities. Implement environmental procedures and monitoring programs. Report to the site leadership team.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Previous site enviro experience
- Understanding of GIS systems
- Environmental data analysis skills
- Reporting and compliance knowledge
- Stakeholder communication capability
- Implementation of environmental management plans, procedures, and monitoring programmes.
- Communicates regularly with key stakeholders including site management, supervisors, contract partners, other Rio Tinto employees and external contacts within the community regarding environmental targets, plans and performance improvement.
- Manage, collate and provide environmental data, non-compliance information or other issues for regulatory notifications and to meet annual reporting requirements.
- Develop and refine environmental procedures and work instructions
- Provide advice and guidance to site contractors and employees to ensure they comply with environmental standards, procedures and relevant legislation
