Senior Protection Engineer

Location: Perth

About you
We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:

• Degree in electrical engineering recognised by Engineers Australia as satisfying the academic requirements for appointment as a professional engineer
• Extensive knowledge of transmission and distribution protection settings and design, automatic control and statistical metering systems design and estimating processes
• Sound knowledge of power system primary and secondary facilities
• High level understanding and knowledge of engineering standards, regulations, Technical Rules and procedures applicable to protection schemes
• Knowledge of current technological developments in the field of protection, automatic control and statistical metering
• Preferably 8 to 10 years extensive experience in a power engineering role in the Networks business and 3-5 years in a protection related role
• Experience in the areas of specification and tender management procedures and practices are desirable
