Responsibilities
- Assist the Study Manager in delivering the concept design of a pilot plant to demonstrate the technical and commercial readiness of a novel green iron process.
- Lead the development of all technical deliverables, including process flowsheets, mass and energy balances, equipment lists (MEL), material take-offs (MTO), and associated documentation.
- Track, monitor, and report study cost and schedule performance.
- Lead technical and commercial risk assessments aligned with the project phase, including development of mitigation strategies.
- Manage internal and external technical resources to deliver the defined technical scope.
- Develop and lead testing programs to close identified technical capability gaps.
- Coordinate third-party and functional design reviews as required.
- Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience; 10+ years in minerals processing plant design highly desirable.
- Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical or Process Engineering).
- Strong capability in multidisciplinary engineering coordination, project engineering, risk management, and schedule control.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in early-phase project environments.
- Experience with pilot plants and technology development.
- Proven experience working across owner, OEM, and consulting organisations.
- Strong knowledge of minerals processing plant design and early-phase project development (concept to pre-feasibility).
