This is a senior role requiring strong leadership, communication and planning skills, along with a proactive approach to safety and quality. The position operates on a 2 weeks on / 1 week off roster, working 12-hour days, on a 22-month contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the on-site project team to ensure safe and timely delivery of construction works
- Manage construction planning, scheduling and sequencing
- Oversee and coordinate contractor performance and compliance
- Track costs, manage progress reporting and administer variations
- Provide hands-on leadership in the field, including site surveillance
- Assess and certify contractor payment claims
- Ensure compliance with project standards, procedures and safety systems
- Manage quality control and assurance activities
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline
- Current White Card
- Valid driver’s licence (manual preferred)
- Demonstrated experience delivering bulk earthworks and/or remediation works
- Strong background in contractor and construction management
- Solid understanding of contract management and project controls
