In this role, you will lead process engineering activities on small projects, oversee design deliverables, and provide technical guidance to engineers—ensuring safe, high-quality, and efficient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead process engineering activities across small-scale projects
- Review and check process design deliverables for accuracy and quality
- Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers within the team
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary project teams and stakeholders
- Ensure deliverables meet project specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
- Manage project scope, schedules, and budgets effectively
- Participate in project meetings and provide clear progress updates
- Drive continuous improvement and maintain high-quality engineering practices
- Identify technical challenges and develop practical, effective solutions
- A recognised degree in Chemical or Process Engineering (or equivalent)
- Chartered Engineer status (CPEng) or progress toward accreditation
- 15+ years’ experience in process engineering within hydrocarbons, chemicals, or similar industries
- Strong experience in brownfield projects (upstream/midstream highly regarded)
- Proven ability to deliver projects successfully within scope, time, and budget
- Solid understanding of process engineering fundamentals and cross-discipline interfaces
- Familiarity with relevant Australian and international standards and regulations
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in engineering software and MS Office Suite
