Responsibilities
- Develop master and detailed project schedules to ensure timely delivery of works and achievement of project objectives.
- Apply cost and resource loading to schedules.
- Prepare supporting documents such as basis of schedules.
- Maintain schedule integrity, ensuring logical accuracy and sequencing.
- Conduct schedule health checks to meet the highest planning standards.
- Implement Earned Value Management (EVM), evaluate CPI and SPI, and report on performance trends.
- Analyse contractor schedules and progress, integrating them into the master program.
- Diagnose and report project trends early, evaluate productivity, and benchmark performance.
- Issue accurate and timely weekly and month-end reports.
- Actively participate in schedule workshops, risk reviews, and change management processes.
- Support quarterly capital planning activities.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all scopes are fully defined and supported with accurate information.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a project planner (essential).
- Client-side experience across the full project life cycle, from concept through to execution, including stage gate processes.
- Strong planning expertise within iron ore operations, with a sound understanding of operational workflows, production targets, and site-specific requirements.
- Proven experience in shutdown planning, including scheduling, resource allocation, contractor coordination, and risk management to ensure safe and efficient execution.
- Proficiency in SAP for maintenance planning, including raising, managing, and closing work orders to support operational readiness and compliance.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with project and corporate stakeholders.
- Advanced skills in Primavera P6, MS Office Suite, and business intelligence tools such as Power BI.
- Desirable: Tertiary qualification in engineering or an internationally accredited project controls certification.
