Senior Planner

Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules for R&D activities, from concept through to delivery.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and technical specialists to identify key milestones, dependencies, and resource requirements.
- Prepare supporting documentation such as basis of schedules.
- Maintain schedule integrity, ensuring logical accuracy and sound sequencing.
- Conduct "schedule health checks" to meet the highest planning standards.
- Translate complex technical requirements into structured, achievable plans with clear timelines.
- Facilitate planning meetings and progress reviews, providing accurate reporting on status, risks, and variances.
- Diagnose and report project trends early, evaluate productivity, and benchmark performance.
- Issue accurate and timely weekly and month-end reports.
- Actively participate in schedule workshops, risk reviews, and change management processes.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve planning methodologies and workflows for R&D projects.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather information and ensure all scopes are defined to a high standard.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a project planner (essential).
- Client-side experience covering the full project life cycle, from concept through execution, including stage gate processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-phase projects with multiple stakeholders and technical inputs.
- Proven experience in planning within a Research & Development environment, preferably in engineering, technology, or industrial projects (desirable).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both project and corporate stakeholders.
- Advanced skills in Primavera P6, MS Office Suite, and business intelligence tools such as Power BI.
- Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Desirable: Tertiary qualification in engineering or an internationally accredited project controls certification.
