Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Senior Onshore Pipelines Engineer
to join our team on a 12-month contract. You will work across a variety of pipeline projects in Australia and Papua New Guinea, spanning multiple stages of design and ongoing pipeline impact assessment studies.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects while supporting the transition toward more sustainable energy solutions.
What you’ll do
- Apply recognised engineering practices to onshore pipeline design.
- Ensure designs comply with internal procedures, national regulations, environmental requirements, and quality standards.
- Provide cost and schedule estimates for proposals.
- Plan and execute pipeline engineering activities to meet project schedules.
- Mentor and guide junior team members where required.
- Identify, assess, and communicate project delivery risks, and support mitigation strategies.
- Recognised and relevant engineering degree.
- RPEQ / RPEV and IEPNG registration.
- Strong experience in the design and construction of CS pipelines per AS2885.
- Knowledge of material selection, fracture control plans and line pipe specifications.
- Solid understanding of HDPE gas and water network design and the APGA Code of Practice.
- Proven capability in pipeline construction support, design reviews, safety management studies, and risk assessments in line with APGA CoP, companion papers, and local HSE and environmental regulations.
- Full working rights in Australia.
