The role is engineering-focused and is not suited to multidiscipline project managers or project engineers.
- Design phase: Based in office(south of river) for approximately 6 months to 2 years, with regular visits to mine site (south of Perth)
- Construction phase: Based primarily at the mine site
- Flexible work options, including some days working from home, are available depending on project needs
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership within mechanical discipline
- Lead and manage engineering design activities through concept, detailed design, and readiness for construction
- Act as the engineering authority, ensuring designs are practical, constructible, and fit for purpose
- Interface closely with operations, maintenance, and site teams
- Support site activities during construction, including regular site visits and on-site presence when required
- Contribute to safe, efficient, and reliable project outcomes
- 5–10 years’ experience as a Mechanical Engineer
- Operating at Senior Engineer level
- Strong technical engineering capability with design management experience
- Solid hands-on site experience in industrial, mining, or heavy infrastructure environments
- Able to work autonomously and provide confident technical guidance
- Practical, solutions-focused mindset with strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Based south of the river or willing to travel accordingly
