Job Title:  Senior Mechanical Designer 

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced mechanical designer to join their team for a Mineral Sands project. The scope of the project involves the mining and beneficiation of a fine grained heavy mineral sands ore body, for the long-term supply of zircon and rare earths.
You will report to the Design Manager and work with a small team of process/P&ID designers, as well as structural and electrical designers.
 
Initial 12 month contract with likelihood for extension. Close by to public transport in the Perth CBD.
 
Responsibilities

• Work with a team of multi-discipline designers for the delivery of mechanical designs for a mineral sands project
• Produce design deliverables to the project schedule
• Uphold quality standards and client requirements 

• Wet plant experience will be highly regarded
• Mechanical design background with some knowledge of piping
• 3D MicroStation is essential
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience in mining and minerals processing
