This is a high-impact role where you will influence ground engineering strategy from early feasibility through to construction.
The Opportunity - You will:
- Lead and review complex geotechnical investigations across renewable and mining infrastructure projects
- Develop ground models and derive design parameters to inform major capital decisions
- Manage geotechnical risk across the full project lifecycle
- Provide technical direction to multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Scope, coordinate and challenge external consultants to optimise design, cost and schedule
- Support feasibility studies, optioneering and constructability assessments
- Interface directly with civil and structural designers to deliver practical, buildable solutions
- Drive continuous improvement in ground engineering standards and practices
You will bring:
- Degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology
- 8+ years’ postgraduate experience supporting major infrastructure or resource projects
- Strong Pilbara site investigation experience
- Demonstrated expertise in desk studies, investigation design, interpretation and reporting
- Experience supporting wind farm or renewable energy projects (highly regarded)
- Advanced working knowledge of Slope/W, Rocscience Suite, PLAXIS or similar
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to challenge design outcomes
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders
