PERMANENT | PERTH-BASED | GREENFIELDS MEGA PROJECT

A rare opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Environment, Heritage & Compliance Advisor to join one of Western Australia’s largest new greenfields mining developments, supporting the project from FEED through construction and into operations.
This is a clean-slate role offering genuine ownership, influence and long-term career growth. You will play a critical role in establishing and uplifting environmental, heritage and compliance systems while supporting an active, fast-moving project environment.

THE OPPORTUNITY
  • Work across the full project lifecycle on a major greenfields nickel development
  • Build and uplift environmental, heritage and compliance systems from the ground up
  • High-visibility role with direct exposure to senior leadership and executives
  • WA-based permanent position with site exposure

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Establish, implement and manage environmental, heritage and compliance frameworks
  • Coordinate and support field surveys and ongoing onsite activities (including conservation programs)
  • Own compliance obligations across FEED, design, construction and operational phases
  • Build internal capability and embed practical systems across the project team
  • Prepare and deliver clear, accurate reporting to senior leadership and executive stakeholders

ABOUT YOU

You will bring a balanced mix of site experience, technical capability and collaborative mindset, with the confidence to take ownership in a dynamic project environment.

YOU WILL HAVE:
  • Minimum 2+ years onsite environmental / compliance experience (3–5+ years ideal)
  • Strong understanding of WA environmental and regulatory requirements
  • Solid GIS capability, ideally with QGIS and environmental data management systems
  • Experience supporting field surveys and onsite delivery, not approvals-only work

CULTURE & FIT

This role will suit someone who is:
  • Collaborative, culturally aware and proactive
  • Comfortable working in evolving, fast-paced environments
  • Accountable and confident operating autonomously
  • Motivated by building something meaningful from the ground up

REMUNERATION & BENEFIT
  • Permanent, long-term opportunity
  • Career progression and growth as the project expands
  • Supportive, pragmatic leadership style
If you are looking for a role where you can make a real impact, own your work and grow with a landmark project, we’d love to hear from you.
