A rare opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Environment, Heritage & Compliance Advisor to join one of Western Australia’s largest new greenfields mining developments, supporting the project from FEED through construction and into operations.
This is a clean-slate role offering genuine ownership, influence and long-term career growth. You will play a critical role in establishing and uplifting environmental, heritage and compliance systems while supporting an active, fast-moving project environment.
THE OPPORTUNITY
- Work across the full project lifecycle on a major greenfields nickel development
- Build and uplift environmental, heritage and compliance systems from the ground up
- High-visibility role with direct exposure to senior leadership and executives
- WA-based permanent position with site exposure
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish, implement and manage environmental, heritage and compliance frameworks
- Coordinate and support field surveys and ongoing onsite activities (including conservation programs)
- Own compliance obligations across FEED, design, construction and operational phases
- Build internal capability and embed practical systems across the project team
- Prepare and deliver clear, accurate reporting to senior leadership and executive stakeholders
ABOUT YOU
You will bring a balanced mix of site experience, technical capability and collaborative mindset, with the confidence to take ownership in a dynamic project environment.
YOU WILL HAVE:
- Minimum 2+ years onsite environmental / compliance experience (3–5+ years ideal)
- Strong understanding of WA environmental and regulatory requirements
- Solid GIS capability, ideally with QGIS and environmental data management systems
- Experience supporting field surveys and onsite delivery, not approvals-only work
