Risk Principal 

Role Purpose
Reporting to the PC&A WAMP Risk Lead, you will be part of the PC&A Team, providing first-line risk support to the Port Program. This includes applying project and program risk management principles, risk processes, systems, and the EPCM model to effectively support program delivery.
Your success will rely on strong communication and organisational skills, along with the ability to direct and assure sound risk management processes and activities. This is a full-time role for a minimum duration of six months.

Key Accountabilities
  • Support and ensure the delivery partner (EPCM) meets all required risk management obligations in accordance with the contract and scope of services
  • Guide the Program to identify and record all material and non-material risks in line with organisational risk management requirements
  • Manage and facilitate the Owner’s Team Program risk review cadence and routine
  • Develop, review and complete all risk-related documentation and deliverables as required
  • Produce internal risk reporting documentation
  • Support designated WAMP Regional Critical Control Owners during Control Effectiveness Testing (CET) as part of material risk management activities
  • Participate in and initiate improvement opportunities to build capability in the application of risk management practices across both the Risk Function and the Program
  • Maintain strong and proactive engagement with key stakeholders
  • Lead and participate in Field Leadership activities
About You
The successful candidate will have:
  • Demonstrated experience in risk management within projects or programs
  • Knowledge of professional risk standards (e.g., ISO 31000)
  • Understanding of organisational risk frameworks and material risk management
  • Competency with internal risk-based systems and tools
  • A proactive attitude and desire to contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team
  • The ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships at all levels
  • The confidence to lead by example and uphold strong standards in safety leadership
