Working closely with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams, you will provide technical guidance, conduct investigations, and contribute to reliability projects that directly impact plant performance, safety, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies, including Failure Modes and Effects Symptoms Analysis (FMESA) across asset portfolios
- Conduct root cause investigations(including 5 Whys) and manage defect elimination reporting
- Support defect elimination, risk reduction, and reliability improvement initiatives
- Assist with critical spares reviews and development of asset Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Review and improve Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and Safe Work Instructions (SWIs)
- Provide engineering advice to support shutdown and weekly maintenance activities
- Initiate and deliver reliability improvement projects aligned with business objectives
- Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical, data-driven technical solutions
- Ensure correct application of health, safety, and quality standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement and cost optimisation initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience as a Mechanical Engineer
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar industrial or operational environment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive improvements
- Proven experience supporting maintenance and reliability functions
- Confident communicator who collaborates effectively across teams
- Proficient in MS Office and MS Project
- Experience using SAP(highly regarded)
- Roster: 8 days on / 6 days off (day shift only)
- Duration: Fixed-term contract
