Responsibilities:
- Liaising with cross-functional teams to develop and implement technical solutions.
- Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
- Monitoring quality assurance of critical processes.
- Supporting delivery of budget targets within assigned operational areas.
- Identifying, proposing, and executing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Developing Failure Modes, Effects and Symptoms Analysis (FMESA) and maintenance strategies for plant assets.
- Supporting engineers with critical spares reviews and development of Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Conducting root cause investigations using methodologies such as 5 Why analysis and managing defect elimination reporting requirements.
- Reviewing and improving Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and Safe Work Instructions (SWIs) for maintenance activities.
- Initiating and delivering reliability improvement projects under structured improvement and risk reduction programs.
- Supporting reliability initiatives aligned with strategic business objectives, including reliability improvement, risk reduction, and business improvement programs.
- Providing engineering input to shutdown planning and weekly maintenance activities as required.
- Assisting reliability specialists with ongoing improvement initiatives and maintenance support.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of two years post-qualification experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
- At least two years’ experience in a similar industrial or processing environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide practical engineering support.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project.
- Experience using SAP or similar asset management systems.
