Quality Lead 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement the project Quality Management framework in accordance with specified requirements.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure the Project Quality Strategy is defined, documented, agreed, and implemented.
  • Develop project Quality resource estimates (FTE and Quality Services Providers).
  • Present Quality Strategy, Quality resource estimates, and Quality Plan to key stakeholders, highlighting value on investment and collaborating toward mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Develop and implement appropriate Project Quality Plans in support of the Project Quality Strategy.
  • Lead and supervise assigned Project Quality resources.
  • Monitor deliverables and activity progress to support effective project execution in line with schedule, cost estimates, and change management processes.
  • Establish Quality expectations and requirements for bid/tender packages, contracts, and purchase orders relevant to the scope of work and/or supply.
  • Actively engage with contractors and suppliers to ensure a collaborative and quality-focused relationship.
  • Review, identify, and approve Contractor and Supplier Quality Deliverables.
  • Facilitate project inductions and training in quality systems and processes for new and existing staff.
  • Ensure that Project Quality Documentation supports project-specific requirements.
  • Plan and conduct Project Quality Audits and reporting in line with project and business unit requirements, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Facilitate equipment risk and criticality assessment workshops with key stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement a risk-based Project Quality Verification Plan for the project.
  • Identify 2nd party inspection and 3rd party verification services required for equipment packages or scope, establish cost estimates, obtain approvals, and manage these activities as per the Project Quality Assessment Plan.
  • Provide support for Quality across all project functions, promoting the importance of Quality in overall project performance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external client representatives.
  • Ensure all client requirements are met or exceeded where applicable.
  • Actively participate in communication forums with client, supplier, and subcontractor representatives.
  • Monitor and support learning and development opportunities for project staff to align with current and future project needs as well as individual career growth.
  • Promote a positive Quality culture and embed quality systems across all project activities and teams.
  • Ensure compliance with all quality, health, safety, and environment policies and procedures to support a strong safety culture.
  • Contribute positively to the overall strategy and success of the Project.
  • Communicate and monitor Quality targets to ensure they are achieved and maintained.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to the Project Manager (or Director) and Quality Manager (Global Projects) on quality performance and deliverables.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Electrical trade/engineering qualified, Projects execution background essential
