Project Manager 

Location: Perth based role with adhoc visits

Key details

  • 1 Work-from-Home day per week for full-time positions
  • Engineering background in Controls or Electrical, with 5+ years of engineering experience
  • At least 5 years of experience managing multiple and/or large-scale projects. 
  • Must have a Bachelor of Engineering degree, and if international, it must be recognised by Engineers Australia.
  • Engineering and Project Engineering must be in the Mining / Mineral Handling space.
The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring the effective and successful delivery of projects through the following activities:
  • Contributing to or assisting with the development of pre-sales estimates, proposals, and budgets
  • Conducting site inspections, audits, and defining project scope
  • Managing the transition from pre-sales to execution phase, including client engagement and establishing baseline budget, scope, and schedule
  • Initiating projects by configuring project management tools, preparing documentation, leading kickoff meetings, and coordinating resource allocation with discipline leads
  • Overseeing project execution to ensure adherence to budget and schedule
  • Acting as the primary safety lead, promoting safety in design, conducting risk assessments, and implementing safety plans and procedures
  • Maintaining a strong focus on project profitability to meet or exceed financial targets
  • Managing sub-contractors and suppliers, including contract drafting, negotiations, performance evaluation, and administration
  • Identifying and managing project variations, both technical and commercial, and assessing their impact on budget, scope, and timeline
  • Proactively assessing and mitigating project risks
  • Leading and supervising the project team to ensure delivery against milestones, quality standards, and performance targets
  • Preparing and maintaining project profit and loss (P&L) reports
  • Providing regular performance updates to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensuring high levels of service quality and client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle
  • Promoting innovation and the adoption of new technologies to drive cost-effective and efficient project outcomes
  • Supporting the Project Delivery Manager or Director in evaluating, implementing, and continuously improving project management tools, systems, and methodologies
  • Providing leadership in key areas including health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ), account management, and overall project execution
