The role starts in a Perth-based project phase (contracting strategy, scope definition, tendering and award) before transitioning to site to manage contractors through construction.
Reporting is to the EPCM Project Manager.
Key responsibilities
- Develop work packs, scopes of work and technical documentation to support procurement, tendering and contract award.
- Coordinate inputs across disciplines to ensure constructable designs, clear interfaces and practical execution plans.
- Support evaluation of tenders, clarifications, recommendations and mobilisation planning.
- Manage contractors on site to deliver scope safely, to quality, on schedule and within budget.
- Track progress, cost and change; manage RFIs, variations and claims in accordance with contract requirements.
- Oversee QA/QC, commissioning readiness and handover documentation for completed works.
- Provide regular reporting, forecasts and risk/issue management to the EPCM Project Manager and key stakeholders.
- Degree in Engineering (or equivalent) with experience delivering civil/structural/mechanical/electrical packages on resources or heavy industry projects.
- Strong understanding of contracting/procurement processes including tendering, evaluation and contract administration.
- Demonstrated contractor management capability with a focus on safety leadership and quality outcomes.
- Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and manage interfaces across disciplines and work fronts.
- Competence in project controls fundamentals (schedule, cost, change, risk and reporting).
- Clear written and verbal communication and a practical, delivery-focused approach
