We’re seeking an experienced Senior/ Principal Mining Contracts professional to join a high-performing Contracts & Procurement team, playing a critical role in driving commercial outcomes across major mining operations.
This is a senior, high-impact position where you will lead end-to-end procurement and contract management for high-value underground and open pit mining services, directly influencing cost, performance, and operational success.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the full lifecycle of major mining services contracts, from strategy through to close-out
- Run end-to-end procurement processes, including tendering, evaluation, and negotiation
- Provide commercial and contractual advice to project and operational stakeholders
- Manage claims, variations, and dispute resolution
- Drive contract governance, risk management, and compliance
- Leverage market intelligence and cost drivers to secure best-value outcomes
- Build strong relationships with contractors and internal teams
- Identify cost optimisation and continuous improvement opportunities
- 10+ years’ experience in mining contracts / procurement
- Strong background across high-value mining services contracts
- Proven experience in tendering, negotiation, and contract management
- Solid capability in claims and dispute resolution
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Degree in Law, Procurement, Business, or similar
