(Power Apps / Power Automate / SharePoint)
Location: Perth-based (flexible work arrangements available)
Industry: Mining / Resources (highly desirable)
About the Role
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a pragmatic Power Platform Automation Specialist to support and stabilise workflow automation across a complex Microsoft 365 environment.
The current landscape is functional but fragmented, with a large number of internally built Power Automate flows, limited governance, and a high degree of autonomy across teams. This role is focused on bringing structure, judgement, and simplicity —without slowing the business down.
You will work closely with a technical stakeholder, operating in a fast-paced environment with limited written standards, balancing initiative with appropriate caution. Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver workflow automation solutions using Power Automate, Power Apps, and SharePoint
- Work across an O365 / Dynamics environment, with sufficient knowledge of Dataverse and Power BI to support end?to?end solutions
- Review, rationalise, and improve existing flows and apps to reduce duplication and risk
- Translate real-world business processes and people-led workflows into practical, supportable technology
- Collaborate closely with technical and business stakeholders to understand how work is actually performed
- Improve process visibility and reliability without over-engineering
- Support a gradual move toward better standards and governance while maintaining operational momentum
Technical
- Strong hands-on experience with Power Automate(critical)
- Proven experience building Power Apps(Canvas and/or Model-driven)
- Strong working knowledge of SharePoint in process-driven environments
- Experience working across Microsoft 365
- Working knowledge of Dynamics / Dataverse and Power BI
- Deep understanding of processes and people, not just tools
- Strong ability to translate complexity into practical solutions
- Patient, pragmatic, and solutions-focused
- Comfortable operating in lightly governed or unstructured environments
- Exercises sound judgement—knowing when to automate and when to keep things simple
- Collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable with change
- Experience within mining, resources, or heavy industrial environments
- Exposure to ungoverned or lightly governed Power Platform landscapes
- Experience helping organisations mature their automation practices over time
This is not a greenfield build or a purely development-focused role. It is well-suited to someone who enjoys working through complexity, improving what already exists, and delivering tangible, practical outcomes.
