Mechanical/Piping Designer

Location: Perth

Role Responsibilities:
- Develop drawings based on engineers' sketches with limited input.
- Oversee and manage document control activities.
- Perform drawing office-related project management tasks.
- Ensure compliance with P&C and client policies, standards, and guidelines.
- Conduct clash detection between design models, as-built models, and other consultants’/clients’ models.
- Coordinate CAD activities between internal departments.
- Train and mentor junior team members.

Experience & Qualifications:
- Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting (or equivalent formal training/qualification).
- Minimum 3 years of experience with CAD software.
- At least 2 years of experience in mechanical/pipeline drafting, including 2D/3D modeling for slurry, water, waste, mineral processing, and/or oil & gas projects.
- Proficiency in one or more of the following software: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Plant 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads, OpenPlant. Strong supervision and delegation skills.
- Experience with Intelligent P&ID and/or Intelligent 3D process plant modeling.
