Contract Length: 3 months
Roster: 4/3, 4/3, 8/6; 4 days on, 3 days off, 4 days on, 3 days off, 8 days on, 6 days Off– 12.0
Location: Port Hedland
Duties:
- Lead and support defect elimination initiatives for port mechanical assets (Car dumper/Conveyors/Balance Machines)
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for significant equipment failures and implement corrective actions
- Develop and optimise maintenance strategies using Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Preventive Maintenance Optimisation (PMO)
- Analyse asset performance data to identify high-value reliability improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with OEMs, maintenance teams, and other engineering disciplines to resolve chronic equipment issues
- Provide technical input into shutdown planning and execution for port assets.
- Provide engineering advice to maintenance and operations teams on mechanical systems and equipment
- Participate in project scoping, design reviews, and commissioning activities for port mechanical upgrades or modifications
Skills and Experience:
- Mechanical engineering degree
- Experience in reliability engineering, maintenance strategy development, and defect elimination
- Experience working within operational, shutdown and brownfields environments essential
- Experience working with bulk materials handling equipment such as conveyors, shiploaders, stacker/reclaimers, and car dumpers.
- Proficient in modern software applications
