Key Responsibilities
- Develop 3D models incorporating electrical systems such as power distribution, control, auxiliary, and robotic components.
- Interpret and translate detailed electrical schematics and wiring diagrams into 3D space.
- Work closely with mechanical, electrical, software, and systems engineers to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into the overall design.
- Contribute to the cost estimation of components and systems, optimizing for both cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Assist in the testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems during prototype and production phases, identifying and resolving technical issues.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of design changes, revisions, and project developments.
- Expertly use Siemens NX, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD to create 2D and 3D models and technical drawings.
- Support the development of large-scale CAD assemblies (5,000+ parts) while adhering to product data management workflows.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, software, and project teams, to achieve project goals.
- Ensure all designs meet quality standards and align with project specifications and objectives.

Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Product Design.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in 2D and 3D design and drafting.
- Experience in both concept-level mockups and fully detailed production-ready designs.
- Proficiency in Siemens NX preferred; experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD also valued.
- Solid understanding of both electrical and mechanical engineering principles.
- Experience with charging systems and mining infrastructure is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
- Familiarity with rail and locomotive industry standards and regulations is highly regarded.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and a strong focus on quality and safety.
