About the Role
As the Manager of Environmental Approvals, you’ll lead all aspects of environmental strategy, statutory approvals, and regulatory engagement for an emerging mining business entering an exciting project phase. Working closely with executive leadership, you’ll oversee consultants, shape approvals frameworks, and ensure all environmental commitments are met from early studies through to FID.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the environmental approvals strategy from study through to execution.
• Manage environmental, heritage, and land access permits under WA legislation.
• Prepare and review Mining Proposals, Part IV referrals, Works Approvals, and Closure Plans.
• Coordinate flora, fauna, and heritage surveys and integrate outcomes into project designs.
• Build strong relationships with regulators, Traditional Owners, and key stakeholders.
• Maintain live approvals registers and oversee consultant performance.

• 15+ years’ experience managing environmental approvals in WA mining or resources projects.
• Strong understanding of the Mining Act, EP Act, and Aboriginal Heritage Act.
• Proven track record preparing approvals documentation and liaising with regulators.
• Excellent written communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Tertiary degree in Environmental Science or relevent.
