You will work closely with engineering, maintenance and operations teams to provide technical advice, drive defect elimination, and contribute to continuous improvement aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain FMESA and asset maintenance strategies across the OPF.
- Provide reliability engineering techniques, data analysis and defect elimination support to operational teams.
- Assist Engineers with Critical Spares Reviews, development of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and asset strategies.
- Review and improve Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and Safe Work Instructions (SWIs) for maintenance activities.
- Initiate, execute and deliver Reliability Projects under Identify then Rectify (ITR) and Risk Reduction Activity (RRA) programs.
- Support shutdown and weekly maintenance planning by providing engineering advice and technical direction.
- Liaise with relevant departments to deliver practical, safe and effective technical solutions.
- Monitor quality assurance of critical processes and ensure correct application of Health & Safety standards.
- Contribute to budget targets for assigned areas and propose and execute improvement initiatives as required.
- Support Reliability Specialists with improvement projects and maintenance support activities.
About You
You are an analytical and proactive engineer with a strong interest in asset reliability and continuous improvement within heavy industrial or processing environments.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a maintenance role within mining
- Experience with reliability methodologies, investigations and maintenance strategy development.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability.
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Sound understanding of safety, quality and risk management principles.
- Proficient in MS Office and MS Project(essential).
- Experience with SAP(highly regarded).
