About the role
- Be apart of our clients' fleet planning and delivery team, responsible for delivery of light mobile equipment (LME) to all parts of the business
- This team ensures safe and effective project management of capital expenditure for LME delivery/selection to meet the clients' operations and expansion plans
- Portfolio is valued over $900 million and comprises of over 10,000 assets (light vehicles, trucks, forklifts, EWPs, generators, and cranes)
- Provide technical writing services to the team, including new and existing LME asset specifications documents and Level 2 Risk Assessments
- Interviewing and collaborating with SMEs and external vendors, and managing the LME specifications portfolio
Responsibilities
- Provide technical writing support, including drafting and managing LME Asset Specifications and Level 2 Risk Assessments in collaboration with SMEs and vendors.
- Manage document control and approvals within the Iron Ore IMS system.
- Support standardisation of equipment design by working closely with end users and suppliers to resolve design issues and ensure process compliance.
- Conduct periodic reviews of equipment for functionality and standards conformance.
- Develop and maintain equipment specifications aligned with Australian standards and regulations.
- Lead risk assessments to identify and mitigate asset-related risks.
- Ensure documentation accuracy and compliance with change management processes.
Experience/Requirements
- Knowledge of Australian standards and mobile equipment design principles is an advantage.
- Driven to challenge existing practices and enhance workflows.
- Background in mining equipment or light vehicle systems.
- Skilled in writing technical specifications.
- Strong team player with a proactive approach and the ability to work independently.
- Effective time management and prioritisation skills in fast-paced, changing environments.
- Comfortable balancing office-based tasks with fieldwork.
- Technically minded with a problem-solving focus and familiarity with technical and general arrangement drawings.
- Clear and confident communicator, capable of engaging across all levels and managing conflict when needed.
- Quick to learn new software and contribute to process improvements.
- High attention to detail, particularly in document formatting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
