Work Location: Initially Perth, with ad-hoc site travel anticipated from around April 2026, transitioning to a rostered site arrangement thereafter.

Position: Lead Project Engineer – Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI)
Role Overview Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in a high-performing team that values collaboration, integrity, and long-term project delivery. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to major studies and large-scale capital projects spanning multiple assets. You will gain exposure across the full project lifecycle—from early scoping and prefeasibility through to feasibility and execution—while leading the non-process infrastructure components under the guidance of project leadership.
Key Responsibilities In this role, you will:
- Lead the development and delivery of NPI scopes across all study phases, including concept, prefeasibility, feasibility, and execution.
- Ensure project designs align with agreed scope and meet performance objectives.
- Review engineering and design deliverables to confirm compliance with specifications, standards, and project criteria.
- Prepare vendor and contractor tender documentation, including technical inputs, scopes of work, specifications, and contract schedules.
- Participate in Safety in Design processes and functional safety reviews, including HAZID, HAZOP, constructability assessments, technical design reviews, and risk workshops.
- Monitor progress and key milestones for NPI scopes, ensuring alignment and integration with other project areas.
- Manage the safe, high-quality, and timely execution of procurement and contract packages, covering design, equipment supply, materials, construction, and commissioning.
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management qualifications, or equivalent trade experience.
- At least 10 years of experience as a project engineer or project manager within mining, heavy industry, or infrastructure sectors.
- Proven experience in package and/or project management on major projects.
- Background in project design phases (concept, FEED, detailed design) as well as execution activities (procurement, fabrication, construction, commissioning). Operational or maintenance experience is advantageous.
- Experience with non-process infrastructure such as maintenance facilities, accommodation villages, and water supply/treatment systems is highly regarded.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary project teams and contribute to project leadership.
