A well‑established organisation in a regulated, safety‑critical industry is looking for an IT Support & Project Assistant to join a small, collaborative IT team in Perth. This is a fantastic entry point for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, learning enterprise applications, and getting exposure to real IT project delivery (not just tickets).
About the Role In this role, you’ll provide first‑line application and system support, help keep day‑to‑day operations running smoothly, and assist with coordination and delivery of IT projects. You’ll work closely with the IT team and internal users, building hands‑on experience across business applications, databases, and operational systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first‑line support for business applications used across operations.
- Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve application/system issues (or escalate appropriately).
- Log, track and follow up incidents and service requests end‑to‑end.
- Support system testing, upgrades and patching activities.
- Maintain application documentation and user guides.
- Assist with the maintenance and development of Excel models.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Clear communication and a customer‑focused mindset.
- Ability to work effectively in a small team environment.
- Exposure to regulated or safety‑critical environments.
- Basic experience with one or more of the following:
- SQL / relational databases
- Automation/scripting (e.g., Python, Logic Apps, Power Automate)
- Project coordination / project tools
- Reporting / data analysis
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Eager to learn, organised, detail‑oriented and reliable.
- Comfortable taking direction, asking questions, and juggling priorities.
- Professional approach to confidentiality and system security.
- Hands‑on experience supporting enterprise applications and IT operations.
