An opportunity for an experienced and strategic General Manager to take ownership of a well-established electrical construction division, driving operational excellence, safety, and growth across a diverse portfolio of industrial and infrastructure projects.
About the Role
As General Manager – Electrical Construction, you’ll oversee divisional performance across financial management, project delivery, client engagement, and people leadership. You’ll shape the future direction of the business, lead a capable technical team, and ensure best-in-class delivery standards across design, installation, and commissioning.
This is a senior leadership role suited to someone who thrives in complex environments and enjoys balancing commercial responsibility with hands-on operational guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee divisional P&L, budgets, and strategic planning.
- Drive project execution excellence and maintain ISO9001-aligned systems.
- Build and sustain strong client partnerships across resources, energy, and industrial sectors.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and innovation.
- Champion WHSE performance and ensure compliance across all operations.
- Provide technical and commercial oversight across bids, tenders, and delivery phases.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Degree or trade qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- 10+ years’ experience delivering and managing large-scale electrical projects (resources, infrastructure, energy, or industrial).
- Proven experience in divisional or business management, including P&L responsibility.
- Sound understanding of ISO9001, AS standards, WHSE compliance, and QA processes.
- Strong stakeholder and client relationship management skills.
- Collaborative, adaptable leadership style with a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
