About the Role
We are looking for a capable Environmental & Tenement Compliance Officer to work closely with the Head of Approvals & Compliance, contributing to tenement portfolio management, environmental record-keeping, compliance reporting, and ensuring all obligations under the Mining Act and related regulations are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain our client's tenement portfolio, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legislation.
- Monitor land disturbance and rehabilitation, with accurate record keeping in GIS land disturbance models.
- Support the preparation and submission of annual MRF reporting.
- Coordinate Program of Work (PoW) applications through to close-out, ensuring full compliance.
- Oversee external Tenement Management services to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
- Support ongoing review and accuracy of environmental databases.
We are seeking someone who brings:
- 3–5 years post-graduate experience in environmental compliance or related field.
- Previous experience in environmental compliance within the mining/resources sector.
- Exposure to GIS and QGIS systems.
- On-site environmental experience (desirable).
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
