About the Role
Step into a diverse role where you’ll work across the full environmental approvals pathway, from early studies through to Final Investment Decision. This is a rare opportunity to join a mining operation transitioning from feasibility to operational stage, with direct access to senior leadership and the chance to shape how approvals are delivered.
What you’ll be doing
- Contribute to Scoping and Feasibility studies, building approvals schedules for project planning.
- Coordinate heritage, flora, and fauna surveys, integrating findings into project layouts.
- Prepare and submit environmental applications, including native vegetation clearing permits and offsets.
- Assist with drafting Environmental Management Plans, Water and Dust Management Plans, Acid Rock Drainage Plans, and Mine Closure Plans.
- Support the preparation of Mining Proposals, Part IV referrals, and Works Approval submissions.
- Work closely with regulators, local communities, and consultants to keep approvals progressing smoothly.
- Maintain approvals trackers and help identify potential risks early.
About You
We’re looking for someone eager to grow, who wants to learn and get hands-on across multiple aspects of environmental approvals. You may have had some exposure to environmental or mining-related projects, but the most important thing is your willingness to get involved, ask questions, and work as part of a close-knit team. You’ll also bring:
- An interest in WA environmental and heritage legislation.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail in documentation.
- A collaborative approach to working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Initiative to follow tasks through and keep things moving.
What’s on Offer
- Direct access to senior leadership and decision-makers.
- Exposure to the full approvals process from concept to operations.
- A supportive environment where you can develop your skills and career.
- The chance to be part of a project at a pivotal stage of development.
