About the Role As the Environmental Approvals Advisor, you will be responsible for managing environmental approvals processes from planning through to submission and approval. You will work closely with multidisciplinary project teams, technical specialists, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure approvals are delivered efficiently and in compliance with relevant legislation.
This role offers a strong mix of technical work, stakeholder engagement, and project coordination, with opportunities to contribute across both operational and growth projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit environmental approval applications to State and Federal regulators
- Support environmental impact assessments for projects and operational activities
- Provide environmental approvals advice and assist in developing approvals strategies
- Coordinate environmental studies and manage supporting technical inputs
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to support project planning and approvals timelines
- Communicate approvals requirements, risks, and progress to project teams
- Conduct site visits as required to support approvals and environmental activities
You will bring:
- A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or related discipline
- 2–4 years’ experience in an environmental approvals or environmental advisory role
- Strong knowledge of State and Commonwealth environmental legislation
- Experience preparing environmental approval documentation and reports
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience within the mining or resources sector
- GIS software experience
- Knowledge of Western Australian environmental approvals frameworks
