About the Role:
A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a highly experienced Engineering Manager to oversee the delivery of large-scale projects within the mining and resources sector. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in multi-discipline engineering leadership and direct experience working on BHP projects, particularly within iron ore operations.
As Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of discipline engineers and designers, ensuring technical excellence, schedule alignment, and quality assurance across project phases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all engineering functions across complex resource projects
• Oversee multi-discipline design coordination, ensuring technical integrity and compliance
• Act as the main point of contact for technical queries and design-related decisions
• Ensure engineering deliverables meet BHP specifications, project milestones, and safety standards
• Collaborate closely with project management, construction, procurement, and client teams
• Identify and resolve risks and issues to maintain project momentum
• Mentor and support engineering team members to foster a high-performance culture

• Degree-qualified engineer in a relevant discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, etc.)
• Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering leadership roles, with at least 3 years on BHP projects
• Deep understanding of BHP standards, systems, and approval processes
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills
• Proven track record in delivering multi-discipline mining or heavy industry projects
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders
