Reporting to the Electrical Superintendent, you will play a critical role in supervising contractors, ensuring safe delivery of construction activities, and supporting commissioning and handover across complex electrical infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate multiple electrical contractors and construction activities onsite
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project and operational requirements
- Review and approve contractor Inspection and Test Records (ITRs) and completions documentation
- Conduct punch-list walkdowns and ensure timely defect resolution
- Manage isolation processes and support high-voltage switching and commissioning activities
- Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and project documentation
- Liaise with Superintendents, commissioning teams, contractors, and key stakeholders to support project delivery
- Support SIMOPS planning and commissioning handover activities
- Conduct field leadership activities and promote a strong safety culture
- Ensure compliance with safety management systems, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external contractors
Qualifications and Experience
- WA A Grade Electrical Licence or relevant tertiary electrical qualification
- Minimum 10 years’ electrical experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory role within mining or major projects
- High Voltage switching certification
- Strong experience with electrical construction, installation, testing, and commissioning
- Experience working with high voltage distribution networks (overhead and underground)
- Familiarity with completions management systems
- Experience with fibre optics and communications networks highly regarded
- Cert IV in Instrumentation and Controls highly regarded
- Strong understanding of Australian electrical standards, safety regulations, and construction practices
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and contractor management skills
