An opportunity exists for an experienced Earthworks Construction Lead to take ownership of site‑based delivery of civil earthworks projects within a large operational environment. This is a client‑side leadership role overseeing both self‑performed works and contracting partners, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to quality standards.
You will lead a team of operators and supervisors while coordinating contractors across multi‑disciplined civil earthworks packages, maintaining strong focus on safety, environmental compliance and execution excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of civil earthworks programs to meet schedule, quality and cost requirements
- Provide daily supervision, direction and leadership to self‑perform earthworks crews and contractors
- Direct progress of work onsite and drive compliance with construction plans and standards
- Manage day‑to‑day interfaces with contracting partners, ensuring safe and efficient execution
- Demonstrate strong safety leadership and actively promote a positive safety culture
- Ensure compliance with all HSE standards, regulations and site procedures
- Lead environmental compliance activities and ensure contractors meet environmental obligations
- Support continuous improvement through strong leadership, communication and team engagement
You will bring:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in project construction supervision within civil construction
- Extensive experience in civil earthworks, including contractor and/or self‑perform delivery
- Proven ability to lead frontline teams and drive performance in the field
- Strong commitment to safety, environmental compliance and quality outcomes
- Experience working in remote or FIFO environments
- A passion for developing people and building high‑performing teams
