Construction Coordinator (Civil)
About the Role
The Construction Coordinator (Civil) will supervise and coordinate multiple contractor work groups to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of civil and bulk earthworks packages. The role oversees planning, execution, QA/QC, and safety management across all project phases.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Trade qualification or technical civil experience
- Certificate IV in Frontline Management (preferred)
- 10+ years in construction or heavy industry
- 5+ years in civil EPCM or client-side delivery
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Lead and coordinate contractor work groups
- Conduct hazard and risk assessments
- Ensure compliance with specifications and legislation
- Interface with engineering and operations teams
- Oversee QA/QC and audit processes
- Manage schedule, cost, and scope changes
- Monitor contractor progress and reporting
- Stable, site-based position with long-term scope
- Exposure to major civil infrastructure projects
