An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Systems Lead – Smart Completions to oversee the implementation and ongoing operation of a Smart Completions System across a portfolio of capital and sustaining works.
This role plays a critical part in managing and verifying QA requirements throughout construction and commissioning phases, ensuring a safe, compliant and efficient transition from construction through to fully commissioned facilities.
You will work closely with construction teams, engineering stakeholders and owner representatives to ensure quality systems, processes and documentation are implemented consistently and effectively. The role combines system development, stakeholder engagement, site verification and performance tracking across multiple facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Project Lead in developing and maintaining the Smart Completions System to align with construction and commissioning requirements
- Assist construction contractors and self‑perform teams with QA processes, system use and documentation requirements
- Work closely with engineering stakeholders to ensure quality and system alignment
- Conduct site inspections to verify compliance and correct system implementation
- Track production, performance metrics and KPIs across assigned works
- Identify, manage and report on QA‑related risks and opportunities
- Support consistent quality outcomes across construction and commissioning phases
You are a quality‑focused professional with strong systems experience and the ability to work effectively across construction, engineering and commissioning environments.
You will bring:
- Bachelor of Engineering or proven experience in QA and systems implementation
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working with quality systems in construction, commissioning or capital delivery environments
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Project management
- Contractor and stakeholder management
- Project execution with commissioning exposure
- Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation and communication skills
- Proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with a strong work ethic
- Excellent planning, prioritisation and organisational skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- High attention to detail, particularly in plan interpretation and construction design
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High level of integrity, accountability and professionalism
- Travel and accommodation provided
- Light vehicle provided while on shift (Brisbane‑based candidates)
