Our client is seeking a Civil Project Engineer with a strong earthworks and technical design background to join a well-resourced, owner-managed project team on a major remote mining operation in the Northern Territory.
This is a hands-on role where technical capability, field leadership, and quality focus are critical to the success of the project.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Drive safe, on-time delivery of civil and earthworks activities
- Contribute to construction planning, design methodology and sequencing
- Provide technical oversight in the field to ensure works align with design intent
- Lead contractor management and in-field supervision
- Track costs, progress, variations and change management
- Undertake field leadership, surveillance and assurance activities
- Assess and certify contractor payment claims
- Ensure compliance with RT standards, procedures and safety systems
- Champion quality control and quality assurance outcomes
- Engage with key internal and external stakeholders to support delivery
- Degree qualified in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- 5–10 years’ experience in civil construction, earthworks or mining-related projects
- Strong background in civil technical design, construction methodology and execution
- Demonstrated experience delivering bulk earthworks, remediation and/or tailings dam works
- Solid understanding of quality control and quality assurance systems
- Proven ability to work effectively with contractors and site-based teams
