We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Group Supervisor to lead civil and structural engineering activities on a large-scale greenfield gold mining project. This is a senior, hands-on role where you’ll drive design excellence, mentor teams, and deliver complex civil solutions from study through to detailed design.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead and supervise civil/structural engineering teams during study and detailed design phases
- Deliver and review complex civil designs including earthworks, roads, pavements, drainage, hydrology, hydraulics and structures
- Drive constructability reviews, technical assurance and design approvals
- Plan and execute civil scopes, estimates, schedules and work plans
- Interface with project stakeholders and senior leadership to resolve technical challenges
- Review and approve drawings, calculations, specifications and bid documentation
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring and on-the-job development for engineers
- Support performance reporting, cost control and schedule adherence
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- 15+ years’ experience in civil engineering, ideally within mining or heavy industry
- Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) – essential
- Proven experience supervising engineering teams on major projects
- Strong expertise across civil design, earthworks and infrastructure
- Ability to lead, influence and communicate at a senior technical level
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong commercial awareness
