We are seeking an experienced Construction Coordinator (Civil) to support the safe and efficient delivery of civil construction works, including bulk earthworks, in a complex operational environment.

This role is ideal for a hands‑on construction professional with strong leadership capability, contractor coordination experience and a solid understanding of safety, quality, cost and schedule control.
About the Role As Construction Coordinator, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating multiple contractor work teams to ensure construction activities are delivered in accordance with scope, safety, quality and schedule requirements.

You will act as the key interface between construction contractors, site operational teams and engineering service providers, ensuring all works are executed safely and efficiently while meeting legislative and organisational standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in hazard identification and risk assessments
  • Supervise and coordinate multiple contractor workgroups across civil construction packages
  • Ensure contractors comply with site standards, safety systems and legislative requirements
  • Act as the responsible on‑site representative in accordance with EHS policies and procedures
  • Ensure works are completed in line with approved scope, specifications, policies and WHS legislation
  • Coordinate site access and work sequencing between contractors, operations and maintenance teams
  • Monitor and verify contractor progress against agreed scope, budget and schedule
  • Manage scope changes, variations and extra works through formal change control processes
  • Ensure all permits, approvals and pre‑start requirements are in place prior to work commencing
  • Implement and monitor QA/QC processes, including ITP/ITR verification and validation
  • Review and audit contractor Quality Assurance plans and documentation
About You You will bring strong civil construction experience with the ability to lead people and manage contractors in a safety‑driven environment.

Essential experience and skills:
  • Applicable trade qualification or strong technical experience in civil construction or bulk earthworks
  • Proven team leadership and contractor coordination experience
  • Strong understanding of safety compliance, risk management and WHS legislation
  • Experience with cost control, progress tracking and schedule management
  • Sound knowledge of QA/QC processes, inspections and documentation
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong problem‑solving ability and attention to detail

Desirable qualifications:
  • Certificate IV in Frontline Management
  • BSBWHS414 and BSBWHS411
