You will provide strong on‑site leadership, manage electrical contractors, and ensure strict adherence to electrical isolation, permit and commissioning processes.
Key Responsibilities
Health, Safety & Environment
- Demonstrate visible safety leadership across all electrical activities
- Ensure compliance with electrical isolation, permit and site safety systems
- Lead daily pre‑starts, toolbox talks and safety interactions
- Conduct critical risk verifications and support incident investigations
- Validate electrical scopes, work packs and installation methodologies
- Supervise and coordinate electrical contractors onsite
- Oversee installation of:
- HV & LV systems
- Switchgear and MCCs
- Instrumentation and control systems
- Cabling and power distribution
- Ensure QA/QC compliance across all electrical works
- Monitor progress against construction schedules
- Identify and mitigate electrical construction risks
- Lead constructability and Level 2 risk assessments
- Support PSRR processes
- Oversee testing, energisation, commissioning and handover to operations
- Electrical Trade Qualification (mandatory)
- Proven experience in an electrical supervisory or construction lead role
- Background in mining or heavy industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of HV/LV systems, MCCs, switchgear and instrumentation
- Experience working within live operational sites
- Ability to manage multiple contractors and interfaces
- Strong documentation, reporting and stakeholder engagement skills
- Manual Driver’s Licence
- Minimum 5+ years relevant industry experience
