Key Responsibilities
AI Platform Engineering & Development
- Design, build, and maintain reusable AI components, APIs, microservices, and orchestration frameworks.
- Support the delivery of ML and GenAI architectures, including retrieval pipelines and agent-based workflows.
- Develop platform capabilities for model deployment, automation, monitoring, evaluation, and end-to-end lifecycle management (MLOps & LLMOps).
- Integrate AI services into business workflows, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, security standards, and data governance requirements.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, production-ready AI solutions.
- Contribute to rapid prototyping and experimentation to validate feasibility and operational value.
- Investigate emerging AI/ML and GenAI technologies and assess applicability within the organisation.
- Document platform patterns, best practices, engineering standards, and operational procedures.
- Actively participate in knowledge sharing, capability uplift, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
- 2+ years' experience designing, developing, and delivering AI/ML systems, including cloud-native solutions.
Software Engineering & Programming
- Strong proficiency in Python (essential).
- Familiarity with TypeScript/JavaScript, C#, or Go is advantageous.
- Hands-on experience with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, or LangChain.
- Exposure to embedding models, vector databases, retrieval pipelines, and agent-based orchestration.
- Working knowledge of AWS or Azure, containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and IaC tools such as Terraform.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and monitoring/observability tools.
- Experience or understanding of tools such as Snowflake, Kafka, AWS S3, REST APIs, microservices architecture, or knowledge-graph integrations.
- Proficient with Git and GitHub workflows (pull requests, branching).
- Experience contributing to Agile delivery using tools like Jira.
- Experience in industrial automation, heavy industry, or operational technology environments.
- Exposure to OpenAI integrations, SageMaker, or Databricks.
- Understanding of AI governance, security, and responsible AI practices.
