1. Before you start your contract

Once you secure a role through Technical Resources, you will receive login details to our online payment system, Astute. Make sure to accept all compliance documents and enter your personal and payment details.


Important: Check your junk/spam folder. If you haven't received an email from noreply@astutepayroll.com within 24 hours of your assignment confirmation, please contact your Technical Resources consultant.


  • What Information Do I Need to Provide? (Independent Contractor - PAYG)

    To ensure a smooth process, please provide the following information:


    • Emergency contact
    • Bank account details
    • Tax File Number
    • Superannuation details
    • Passport or Proof of Valid Work Rights
  • What Information Do I Need to Provide? (Independent Contractor with ABN)

    For independent contractors with an ABN, please provide the following information:

    • Emergency contact
    • Supplier bank details form
    • Passport or Proof of Valid Work Rights
  • What OH&S Training Do I Need to Complete?

    To ensure a safe working environment, please follow these steps:


    • Read and accept the compliance documents on Astute.
    • Once you have started working at your workplace and completed the host induction, fill out the host induction form and email it to admin@techresources.com.au.

2. Timesheets



  • How Do I Complete My Timesheet?

    Depending on the client you are working for, there are two options:

    • Option 1: Complete your timesheet in Astute and wait for client approval.
    • Option 2: Use the client's system to complete your timesheet, and the client will send your approved hours to Technical Resources.
  • When Do I Need to Submit My Timesheet?

    To ensure timely processing, please adhere to the following guidelines:


    • Submit your timesheet as soon as possible at the end of each week.
    • Different clients have different timesheet deadlines:
    • If you complete your timesheet using the client's system, the deadline will be set by the client.
    • If you complete your timesheet in Astute, we recommend submitting it by Tuesday morning at the latest.
  • My Approver Is Not Available to Approve My Timesheet; What Should I Do?

    You can select a secondary approver using Technical Resources’s payment system in such cases.

3. Contractor payment


  • How Do I Contact the Contractor Payments Team?

    For any inquiries related to contractor payments, please use the following contact information:

  • When Do I Get Paid?

    Your payments should reach your account by Friday following your fortnightly pay period. For specific dates, please refer to the payment schedule in your Astute portal.

  • When Will I Receive My Pay Advice / Remittance?

    Pay Advices and remittances are emailed after every payment, usually on Thursday morning following your fortnightly pay period. You can also find them in your Astute portal.

  • Why Did I Not Get Paid?

    The most common reason for payment delays is the non-receipt of your approved timesheet in time. If you have not been paid, please contact our contractor payments team so that we can assist you.

  • When Does My Superannuation Get Paid?

    We process superannuation payments monthly on the 14th day of the following month, with an additional payment in June. Please note that it may take up to 8 working days for the superannuation funds to reach your nominated account.



4. Keeping in contact


  • When Should I Call My Technical Resources Consultant?

    Your Technical Resources consultant will maintain regular contact with you. Please contact them whenever you need assistance, even outside of scheduled check-ins.

     

    We invite you to visit our offices at 59 Fitzgerald St, Northbridge. Our team is available from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and we have exciting Technical Resources Merchandise exclusively for Technical Resources Family members.


    Or, at any time you have an issue or concern with your contract or workplace.

  • Incidents or Injuries

  • What Do I Do If My Personal Details Change?

    To update your personal details, you can do so at any time in Astute.

     

    For candidates updating their Self-Managed Super Fund (SMSF), please email our contractor payments team with the necessary details.

     

    For contractors with an ABN who want to update their bank account details, please complete a new supplier bank form and email it to our payments team.


5. Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S)


  • What Should I Do If I Have Any OH&S Concerns or Injure Myself While at Work?

    For any OH&S concerns or workplace injuries, please contact your Technical Resources consultant or our safety representative, Angela Smith, at accounts@techresources.com.au or call 08 6382 7000.
