Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in managing consultants, driving technical assurance, and coordinating complex engineering interfaces across a major project environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate infrastructure engineering design activities.
- Manage multidisciplinary design inputs across mechanical, electrical, structural, process and water disciplines.
- Oversee the delivery of engineering packages to scope, schedule, budget and quality requirements.
- Review and manage consultant deliverables, calculations, drawings, reports and specifications.
- Facilitate design reviews, HAZOPs, constructability assessments and safety workshops.
- Provide engineering oversight for:
- Pipeline and pumping systems
- Water management and treatment infrastructure
- Decant and reclaim water systems
- Surface water management infrastructure
- Drainage and seepage collection systems
- Supporting operational infrastructure
- Manage engineering risks, design assurance activities and governance requirements.
- Engage with operational, environmental and technical stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Water or Infrastructure Engineering ( Civil Engineers will not be considered).
- Chartered Engineer status or progressing towards chartership.
- 8+ years' experience delivering infrastructure engineering solutions in mining, water or major project environments.
- Strong design management experience across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Proven experience managing engineering consultancies and technical stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
