This is a strong opportunity for an experienced SMP Supervisor looking to make the move into a client-side Capital Projects position with a major mining operator.

You will represent the client across a varied portfolio of structural, mechanical and piping works, providing oversight from front-end planning and fabrication through to construction, shutdown execution, commissioning and handover.

Working on an 8/6 roster, you will gain broader exposure than a single contractor package, coordinating multiple contractors and helping shape how projects are planned and delivered across operational Pilbara sites.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Represent the client across structural, mechanical and piping works
  • Coordinate contractors, daily site activities and competing work fronts
  • Provide visible safety leadership across project delivery
  • Review work packs, drawings, specifications and permits
  • Monitor contractor performance across safety, quality and schedule
  • Support front-end planning, constructability and workface preparation
  • Coordinate fabrication, materials, equipment and site deliveries
  • Resolve technical queries, site constraints and interface issues
  • Support brownfield tie-ins and shutdown planning
  • Monitor inspections, ITPs, punch lists and completion documentation
  • Support commissioning, handover and project close-out
What You’ll Bring
  • Trade qualification in fitting, boilermaking, pipefitting, welding or a related discipline
  • Statutory Supervisor qualification, including Schedule 26 competencies
  • Current Construction White Card
  • Relevant High Risk Work licences
  • SMP supervision experience within mining, resources or heavy industry
  • Experience managing contractors in an operational mining environment
  • Brownfield, sustaining capital or shutdown project experience
  • Strong construction planning and safety leadership capability
  • Ability to complete site access requirements, including medical and drug and alcohol screening
Previous client-side experience or exposure to major mining operations will be highly regarded.

ALL APPLICANTS MUST HAVE PERMANENT RESIDENCY OR CITIZENSHIP WITHIN AUSTRALIA.
