An exciting opportunity exists for a Site Electrical Project Engineer to join a major construction project on a 2:1 FIFO roster, supporting the delivery of electrical work packages from planning through to execution. Working closely with the construction and project teams, you will coordinate contractors, manage project deliverables, and ensure works are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and execution of electrical construction work packages.
- Develop scopes of work, technical specifications and execution plans.
- Manage technical queries throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare tender documentation and assist with contractor selection.
- Administer vendor and subcontractor contracts.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, cost forecasts and scope changes.
- Coordinate contractors and vendors during construction activities.
- Provide technical support to site teams and resolve engineering issues.
- Report on construction progress, project performance and key milestones.
- Ensure all work complies with quality, safety and environmental requirements.
- Foster strong working relationships with project stakeholders.
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' experience delivering electrical projects within mining, infrastructure, construction or heavy industry.
- Previous site-based project engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of project scoping, estimating, procurement and cost management.
- Experience managing contractors and subcontractors during construction.
- Strong planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
