About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior   Project Planner to join a high-performing project delivery team supporting major mineral processing and construction projects. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, monitoring progress, identifying schedule risks and working closely with project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planner who thrives in a fast-paced project environment and enjoys collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain and update detailed project schedules throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Interpret engineering deliverables including flow sheets, P&IDs, drawings and equipment lists to develop accurate schedules.
  • Support the project team with schedule development, progress reporting and planning activities.
  • Monitor project performance against schedule and identify potential delays or risks.
  • Analyse scope changes, schedule trends and critical path impacts, recommending mitigation strategies where required.
  • Ensure planning processes and project controls are effectively implemented and maintained.
  • Track project progress against key milestones, budgets and contractual requirements.
  • Prepare regular schedule updates and reports for project management and key stakeholders.
  • Communicate planning issues proactively and work collaboratively to resolve schedule constraints.
About You
  • Minimum 6 years' project planning experience within mineral processing, mining or construction projects.
  • Experience developing and maintaining complex project schedules.
  • Strong proficiency with Primavera P6 and Oracle project controls systems.
  • Ability to interpret engineering documentation and integrate technical information into project schedules.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify schedule risks and develop practical solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of project planning and project controls principles.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor of Engineering or an equivalent qualification (preferred but not essential).
